Back and Neck Pain

Lower back pain is one of the most common ailments and the leading cause of physician visits. While many cases can be linked to an injury, accident, or muscle strain — others involve more “structural” issues, including herniated discs, spinal stenosis, and degenerative disc disease. Regardless of its cause, a lower back injury can range from mildly annoying to downright debilitating. Ironically, the severity of pain is often unrelated to the level of physical damage. In fact, a simple strain can cause excruciating lower back pain that can make it difficult to walk or even stand, whereas a large herniated disc or completely degenerated disc can sometimes be relatively painless.
